Baltimore Ravens coach John Harbaugh said the lessons his team learned losing improbable fashion will help his team the rest of the season.Harbaugh praised his team's performance against New Orleans — with the possible exception of one missed kick.Playing without two starting offensive linemen and with standout cornerback Marlon Humphrey watching from the sideline on Sunday Kurt Coleman Jersey Stitched , the Ravens limited Drew Brees to 212 yards passing and scored the potential game-tying touchdown with 24 seconds left by virtue of a six-play, 81-yard drive engineered deftly by quarterback Joe Flacco. Then, with overtime looming, Justin Tucker's seemingly automatic conversion sailed to the right . He was previously 222 for 222 since turning pro in 2012.The 24-23 defeat dropped Baltimore (4-3) out of a first-place tie in the AFC North with a matchup at Carolina upcoming Sunday."Our guys played very well," Harbaugh said Monday. "Many of the things that we learned in this last game, we can apply to the rest of the season. And we're going to try to do that and make the game a positive in that sense."At kickoff, the wind was blowing at 15 mph. Tucker didn't use that as an excuse, though that might have been a factor in his unexpected misfire."The wind was definitely part of it," Harbaugh insisted. "But at the end of the day, it's a missed kick."Tucker couldn't deny that."I feel like I cost us the game," he said Sunday night. "Every single one of my teammates thus far has told me the opposite, and no one play wins or loses a game. But that's a tough thing to grapple with when you're the guy in that situation at the end of the game."Harbaugh considered for a moment going for a 2-point conversion, but dismissed the notion because the plan all along was to kick the ball in that situation."The numbers say to put it in overtime. That's what the analytics say. It's a clear choice," Harbaugh said. "We have a Saturday morning meeting where we go through all those factors, and we had decided we would put it in overtime if it came to that."But you know, I had thoughts about going for 2. I was asked that Youth Patrick Robinson Jersey , I thought about it. Your gut sometimes talks to you and you make a decision at the end based on that. At the end, I decided to go with what we talked about doing."One reason the Ravens are tough in overtime is because Tucker is the most accurate field goal kicker in NFL history and is 36 for 50 over his career from at least 50 yards out.Give Baltimore credit for getting in position to tie the game in the final minute, in part because the offensive line was thinned by injuries to Alex Lewis and James Hurst. Rookies Bradley Bozeman and Orlando Brown Jr. saw extensive action, and through it all Flacco was sacked only once."I thought they acquitted themselves very well," Harbaugh said of Bozeman and Brown. "Both of them will learn from it. I think they'll get a lot better because of the game experience they had and the speed of the game and all that. It was a positive in that sense."A victory would have given the Ravens sole possession of first place in the division. But who's to say they would have won in overtime?"It's one of these games that could've went either way," Flacco said. "There's no sense in putting your head down and crying about stuff like this. You just have to move on."The Ravens don't intend to let the loss define their season."We're not feeling sorry for ourselves. We fell one point short," said linebacker Terrell Suggs, who had the team's lone sack of Brees. "We've got the best kicker in ball, so we're not going to worry about that. We go back to the drawing board, get over this one quick, learn from your mistakes and get ready for Carolina."If that game comes down to a kick from Tucker in the closing seconds, there is a good chance he won't be thinking about his miss against the Saints."Justin's the best in the world at what he does, and he's the most confident person that I know," Flacco said. "It's not going to be an issue." Week 12 saw the Saints win their 10th consecutive game while sweeping their arch rivals. Now another primetime showdown awaits.Let’s take a look at this and all of the Week 13 action."The New Orleans Saints face the Dallas Cowboys in Dallas, looking to pick up their 11th consecutive win and clinch a playoff birth for the second consecutive season.Dallas is no cakewalk, and despite their pedestrian record they have picked up some solid wins in recent weeks Patrick Robinson Jersey Stitched , but the Saints are at another level right now.The Saints have been at their best when the stage is biggest and the lights are brightest.Well, few stages are as big as JerryWorld鈩?and the lights are the brightest in primetime.Put these things together with a big win streak and a shot at a rival fanbase, and you've got a chance for a big Saints victory to kickoff Week 13.Let’s take a look at this game and all of the rest on the Week 13 schedule.Last week I went 8-7I told you so: Bucs over Niners! What do I know: Panthers over Seahawks?***WEEK 13Thursday, November 29th - Thursday Night FootballSaints(10-1) at Cowboys(6-5)Drew Brees and the Saints offense faces a challenge, no doubt, from Dallas’ top-ten defensive unit. While not as dominant as the Baltimore or Minnesota defenses the Saints defeated this season, this Dallas defense is very good, better against the run than the pass, but very formidable.Despite the challenge, the Saints are as dialed in, as balanced, and as dangerous an offense as Dallas has seen since midseason a year ago. These Saints can exploit Dallas in so many ways.As much credit as the Saints offense gets, and deservedly so, it will be their defense that grabs the headlines in this game. The primary focus will be on stopping Dallas running back Ezekiel Elliott, as he is the biggest part of the Cowboys offense. This Saints top-ranked rushing defense will be successful in this effort, holding Elliott to just 17 carries for 54 yards rushing.Taking away Elliott will put tremendous pressure on DaK Prescott and the Cowboys passing game Youth Jermon Bushrod Jersey , feeding right into the Saints hands. The Saints are white-hot right now and their stars will shine brighter than the ones on their opponents’ helmets this evening. It will take a complete and well-coached team to break the roll they are on right now.Jason Garrett is not that coach, and the Dallas Cowboys are not that team. The Saints make it 11 wins straight, with the whole nation watching.Saints win 32-17.Pick: Saints***Sunday, December 2nd - UPDATE: Jason Garrett’s refusal to go for it on fourth down in overtime is peak Cowboys (now with Jerry Jones’ comments) There were plenty of plays in the Cowboys loss to the Texans that you could point to as a huge turning point. There were interceptions Connor Williams Jersey Stitched , dropped passes, goal line stands and so much more. But one play that didn’t happen stands out among all the rest. The Cowboys came up short (19-16) in overtime after they had the ball first in the deciding fifth quarter. On that first drive in overtime, the Cowboys drove the ball down to the Texans 41-yard line and faced a fourth and one. If there is one thing we’ve learned is that the statistics tell you to go for it in that situation. Doug Pederson and the Eagles taught us all last year what going for it on fourth down can mean for your team. The Cowboys have one of the best backs in the NFL, they have a running quarterback, they have options in that situation. Instead, they did the inevitable. They punted the ball and lost the game.Jason Garrett will tell you that it is the right thing to do in that scenario. He will mention if you don’t make it you set the Texans up so they only have a short way to go to set up their own game-winning field goal. He might even reference what happened to the Colts last week. He’ll note the Cowboys running game wasn’t having much success on the day and they had just been stuffed on the previous play. He’ll say that his defense had been doing it all game long and that they needed to trust them to get the ball back. That’s what he’ll say.Say all you want Youth Michael Gallup Jersey , the Cowboys should have gone for it. He needs to put faith in his team, he needs to believe that his team can gain one yard when they need to. The Cowboys defense had done a fantastic job in the redzone, but they allowed the Texans into the redzone plenty. Houston had 462 yards on offense so it wasn’t like the Cowboys defense was stopping them from moving the ball, they were just doing a phenomenal job in the redzone. A phenomenal job in the redzone wasn’t going to work this time. Houston had already kicked three field goals in the game and passed up another. All they needed was a field goal to win it. Additionally, there were only five and a half minutes left in the game. You are gambling you can cause a three and out to get the ball back, because if you don’t you’re basically playing for a tie. It’s a gamble. There is no doubt about it. It can backfire. Still Michael Gallup Jersey Stitched , this team isn’t good enough to play it safe. Playing it safe is going to get them another 8-8 season. They need to try and take control of their destiny. You’ve invested all this money and draft picks in your offensive line, in your running back, in your running game. You have to trust them at that point. Otherwise, you get an overtime loss and you’re trying to climb out of a 2-3 hole. UPDATE: It seems like Jerry Jones was not a fan of the decision to punt. Sean Lee isn’t practicing Tuesday, so his return isn’t close. The Cowboys’ weakside linebacker has missed the past two games with a hamstring injury, and he is expected to miss Thursday’s showdown with Washington Youth Dorance Armstrong Jersey , too.But when he does come back the Cowboys will have a “good problem” in trying to divvy up snaps among Lee, Leighton Vander Esch and Jaylon Smith.Vander Esch has become a star in Lee’s absence, making 21 tackles, two interceptions, four pass breakups and a quarterback hit the past two games.“That’s a management dream right there,” Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said on 105.3 The Fan when asked about playing time for his three top linebackers. “You rotate those guys. You get the very best out of their strengths Dorance Armstrong Jersey Stitched , their endurance. Sean Lee without a doubt can be the key guy on the team, much less on the defense. And, so, you don’t want too many plays with him not in there. But the way Vander Esch is playing and what we have in Smith out there, we just will play them all. There’s plenty of snaps to go around. There’s 60 plays on defense. You certainly can get those guys in for 20 or 30 plays apiece.”With Lee’s injury history — he’s missed five games already this season — the Cowboys probably need Lee on a pitch count anyway.

With less than two weeks to pass before we see Chris Ballard’s third pull as GM, there are still very differing views on where the team will go with their first selection.Looking around at the litany of mock drafts from various analysts (here via Colts.com) we see so many going in one particular direction. However, this specific position doesn’t seem to fit Ballard’s approach. On the other hand Cheap Gerri Green Youth Jersey , perhaps the second-most common pick is precisely what the Colts should be targeting and fits not only the needs of the team, but the roster building process laid out by Ballard since his time in Indy begun. What gets interesting is when we start to see those picks pop up which fit a direct need, fit the philosophy Indianapolis Colts Parris Campbell Jersey , but don’t appear to be gaining much traction with the draft community. Many consecutive years the draft community has pegged the Colts in dire need of a pass rush. Granted, the current roster has gotten some help through the past draft as well as recent free agent acquisitions, but a dominant Womens Parris Campbell 2019 Jersey , young force at the position is still very much a need one way or another. Yet, very few are handing the Colts defensive ends in their recent mocks. We also touch on the latest Colts news, speak briefly on the current state of the roster Indianapolis Colts Parris Campbell Jersey , and discuss how the Colts may approach their first three selections this year. Please subscribe, rate and review the channel anywhere you listen to podcasts.Follow our hosts on Twitter: @MDanelySB | @HolderStephen | @TheStable_PodStampede Blue Podcast Links:Apple Podcasts | Stitcher | Megaphone | SB Colts Cast YT Channel | Google | Spotify
It’s possible to find the kind of bright offensive coach so many people seem to be looking for without that person being young or having great hair. It’s also possible for that person to have a longer resume. The Jets announced they had completed their interview with former Colts and Lions coach Jim Caldwell.Caldwell has a 62-50 record as a head coach Womens Drew Forbes 2019 Jersey , and if you throw out the Colts year with Curtis Painter (and lord knows the Colts did), that’s 60-36 with five winning seasons in his other six. While his work with Peyton Manning helped boost that number early, the former Tony Dungy assistant also got the Lions to the playoffs twice and was the offensive coordinator for the Ravens when Joe Flacco led them to a Super Bowl title. The 63-year-old Caldwell has also interviewed with the Browns and Packers, and while he lacks flair, he also brings more substance than many of the other candidates in this hiring cycle. Cleveland Browns:Myles Garrett, Joel Bitonio voted second-team All-Pro (ohio.com) - Two Browns linemen — defensive end Myles Garrett and left guard Joel Bitonio — were named second-team selections on the Associated Press 2018 NFL All-Pro Team. No Browns players were named first-team All-Pro.Organizer: Credit Baker Mayfield Cleveland Browns Drew Forbes Jersey , not the parade (ESPN) - Just less than one year ago, about 3,200 Cleveland Browns fans marched in frigid weather to voice their displeasure about the state of their favorite team. One year later, the Browns have completed the biggest turnaround in team history: from zero wins to seven, and more importantly, from hopelessness to optimism.Browns interview Dan Campbell for head coach position (clevelandbrowns.com) - The Browns on Friday interviewed Saints assistant head coach/tight ends Dan Campbell for the team’s head coach opening.I was wrong about Baker Mayfield (Terry Pluto/cleveland.com) -I never thought Baker Mayfield was another Johnny Manziel. But I had a lot of concerns about Mayfield as an NFL quarterback. It began with him being barely 6-feet tall.Josh McDaniels Cheap Drew Forbes Youth Jersey , Dan Campbell betting favorites for HC (DPD) - The Cleveland Browns have a long list of candidates for their head coaching vacancy, with Josh McDaniels and Dan Campbell listed as the betting favorites for the job.NFL:Steelers part ways with linebacker coach Joey Porter (NFL.com) - Mike Tomlin promised changes after the Pittsburgh Steelers missed the playoffs. Those changes have begun. Creating the NFL’s regular season schedule is no easy task. All 32 teams will need to play according to their divisional positioning Steve Grogan Color Rush Jersey , cross-conference alignments, and also have to play one game each on Thursday and Monday. Contests in London and — at least if the playing surface holds — Mexico City need to be taken into consideration, as need potential requests from the franchises. This can create plenty of oddities.Take the Chicago Bears, for example, who played on Sunday night and will have their next contest on Thursday. Or the entire AFC East: for the first time since the league’s divisional alignment took place in 2002, the entire division had the same week off. Naturally, this means that this week’s edition of the AFC East Report looks a bit different than it usually does. Instead of focusing on games past, we will take a look into the future.1. New England Patriots (7-3)Week 11: byeWeek 12: at New York JetsWeek 13: vs Minnesota VikingsWeek 14: at Miami DolphinsWeek 15: at Pittsburgh SteelersWeek 16: vs Buffalo BillsWeek 17: vs New York JetsThe Patriots will play their first of two games against the Jets on Sunday, before a difficult three-game stretch against teams currently .500 or above. The third of those games — in Pittsburgh — will be the biggest of the three as it again projects to have major implications on the AFC’s playoff picture. New England closes out the season with two supposedly easy home games against the Bills and Jets.2. Miami Dolphins (5-5)Week 11: byeWeek 12: at Indianapolis ColtsWeek 13: vs Buffalo BillsWeek 14: vs New England PatriotsWeek 15: at Minnesota VikingsWeek 16: vs Jacksonville JaguarsWeek 17: at Buffalo BillsThe Dolphins will travel to Indianapolis on Sunday to play the Colts in a game that might have importance when it comes to the race for one of the AFC’s wild card playoff spots. While both teams are currently out of the postseason picture Trey Flowers Jersey , a win against a direct opponent would be big for the Dolphins and the Colts. The rest of the Dolphins’ schedule looks favorable except for battles with the Patriots and Vikings.3. Buffalo Bills (3-7)Week 11: byeWeek 12: vs Jacksonville JaguarsWeek 13: at Miami DolphinsWeek 14: vs New York JetsWeek 15: vs Detroit LionsWeek 16: at New England PatriotsWeek 17: vs Miami DolphinsThe Bills will host the disappointing Jaguars on Sunday — one of only two non-division games left on the team’s schedule. After the game against Jacksonville, Buffalo will head south to Miami before back-to-back home games against the Jets and Lions. A trip to New England is followed by a game at New Era Field versus the Dolphins. While it is not the easiest schedule, it would not be all that big a surprise to see the Bills come away with two or maybe even three wins.4. New York Jets (3-7)Week 11: byeWeek 12: vs New England PatriotsWeek 13: at Tennessee TitansWeek 14: at Buffalo BillsWeek 15: vs Houston TexansWeek 16: vs Green Bay PackersWeek 17: at New England PatriotsThe Jets’ second half of the season starts and ends with games against the Patriots, the first of which at home on Sunday. Playing New England twice is not the only challenge New York will face in the next six weeks, though: the Jets will also play three teams currently in the race for playoff spots in the Titans, Texans and Packers. Week 14’s game in Buffalo therefore appears to be the only relatively easy game left on the schedule — but it would still not be a surprise to see New York end the season 0-6. ATLANTA (AP) — The Super Bowls have become a yearly ritual for the New England Patriots under Tom Brady and Bill Belichick. They're back for the third straight year and the ninth time overall despite a taxing season that seemed doomed after Julian Edelman's four-game suspension for performance-enhancers, a 1-2 start to the regular season, various injuries and the arrival and abrupt departure of Josh Gordon.Yet, as they prepare for Sunday's matchup with the Los Angeles Rams Deatrich Wise Jr Color Rush Jersey , it's hard to imagine New England, which is a slight favorite, not walking out of Mercedes-Benz Stadium without their sixth Lombardi Trophy. The reasons begin in the place that matters most: with quarterback Tom Brady.Yes, he's 41 years old. And yes, he showed some slight signs of decline during his 19th season. But he's also coming off two impressive playoff wins, which doesn't bode well for the Rams.He bested Philip Rivers in the divisional round. Then he helped the Patriots overcome their playoff road woes by leading 12th postseason game-winning drive of his career to defeat Patrick Mahomes and Kansas City in the AFC championship game.Brady averaged 267.5 passing yards per game in the postseason before turning 40. Since hitting that milestone, he's thrown for 364.6 yards per game."It's a long season. It's a lot like climbing a mountain," Brady said. "You have some really great moments and you have some disappointing things that happen. You gotta kind of figure out your way as you go. The goal is to reach the top and only one team really reaches it."Linebacker Elandon Roberts said trying to quantify Brady's impact this season is impossible."I can make a list, but I might run out of paper https://www.patriotsfanstore.com/Rex-Burkhead-Jersey ," Roberts saidWhile there have been times during the Patriots' run of championships in which they have been dependent on Brady's arm, this season has been notable for the help he's had and continues to lean on during the postseason.Rookie Sony Michel has reinvigorated the run game, rushing for an NFL rookie record five touchdowns. He's gotten support from Rex Burkhead (three postseason rushing TDs), James White and even fullback James Develin .It's added up to fast starts. The Patriots have been outscored 24-3 in the first quarter of their previous eight Super Bowl appearances. They are poised to change that, having outscored the Chargers and Chiefs 49-7 in the first quarter in their first two victories this postseason. The defense has also stepped up. First-time All-Pro Stephon Gilmore has helped steady a secondary that ranked as low as 27th in the NFL against the pass at midseason. There is also the undeniable experience factor that heavily favors New England. This will be the ninth Super Bowl appearance for Belichick and Brady. But it is the third straight for the Patriots overall. Safeties Devin McCourty and Patrick Chung and kicker Stephen Gostkowski are preparing to play in their fifth Super Bowls. And they have 25 players who have appeared in at least two Super Bowls.By comparison, the Rams have only four players on their entire roster that have played in this game.Brady went on the record this week saying there is "zero chance" that he will retire at the end of this season, adding his plan is still to play until age 45."He works, plays hard, he probably will James Harrison Jersey ," Belichick said. While he isn't thinking about the end anytime soon, Brady said he isn't taking his latest opportunity for granted either."I just love it and I love playing," Brady said. "I think everyone at this point is tired and worn down but at the same time, you have one of the great opportunities in your life. … It's a very difficult game to win. I'm excited for it."

For the Chargers, it is no different as there is plenty of speculation as to what the team will do when they are on the clock tomorrow night. Josh Rosen: Smoke or fire? There has been a plethora of whispers the last several weeks about the Chargers as a possible team that would be willing to execute a trade for Arizona Cardinals Quarterback Josh Rosen. On Monday, Adam Schefter reported that the Giants, Chargers and Dolphins are the three “primary” teams in play for the former number one pick. The Cardinals have been holding out for a first round pick in exchange for Rosen, but are unlikely to get that value in return. But rumors began to circulate around the Chargers being interested in parting with their second round pick (60th overall) to acquire Rosen as a developmental QB to mold behind Philip Rivers.Earlier this week, General Manager Tom Telesco spoke with the Media and had this to say regarding the possibility of Los Angeles making a trade for a potential Rivers’ successor During the free agency period, the Chargers signed Tyrod Taylor to a two-year $11 million deal, giving the team a capable veteran backup. Taylor’s contract is another reason to believe that the Chargers wouldn’t be a serious candidate for Rosen as the team would be taking on an additional cap hit at the QB position on top of giving up draft capital. Time will tell on If the smoke surrounding these rumors has any fire behind it. Moving down?Since he became the GM of the Chargers in 2013, Telesco has had a reputation of keeping the Chargers draft strategy close to the chest. This year Desmond King Color Rush Jersey , Los Angeles owns the 28th overall selection, which brings a number of different possibilities along with it. One of those options could be to trade out their first round spot and move down to acquire more picks. On Monday, Telesco addressed the possibilities of trading down. The Chargers have not selected this late in the draft since 2007. Depending on how the board falls to them, Los Angeles could be open for business to negotiate with teams looking to get back into the tail end first round. What are the experts saying?Mock drafts have peaked our interest for the last several months. Now with only one day remaining until Draft Day, here are the latest predictions from analysts on what the Chargers will do with their first round selection:CBSSports.com’s Ryan Wilson: DT Dexter Lawrence-Clemson“Don’t be fooled by his 6-foot-4, 342-pound frame” Wilson says.“Dexter Lawrence is an incredible athlete and while first appearance might suggest otherwise, he’s a three-down player. For some perspective on just how versatile he is, during the 2018 season Lawrence ranked fourth in Pro Football Focus’ pass-rush productivity metric and was sixth in run-stop percentage. There’s also this: In Los Angeles, he’ll be bookended by Melvin Ingram and Joey Bosa. Good luck stopping that.”ESPN’s Mel Kiper Jr.: DT Jeffery Simmons- Mississippi State“I thought the Chargers might target a defensive tackle with the 17th pick last year, but Vita Vea and Daron Payne were both off the board. They ended up with Derwin James, one of the best picks of the entire draft, but still have a need along the interior of their defense. Simmons might not be picked in Round 1. He tore his ACL in February and could redshirt this season. But he’s a top-15 talent, and he’s going to be on my Big Board. And he could be a steal here.”The Draft Network’s Benjamin Solak: OT Dalton Risner-Kansas State“I think Risner is worth a look at tackle where his length and technique both shine” Solak says. “Players with slower feet and less explosiveness than Risner have survived out there, though there is some concern with Risner’s balance when faced with shifty rushers. Either way, love his energy and tone-setting aggression.”NFL.com’s Daniel Jeremiah: CB Rock Ya-Sin -Temple“There are other needs here -- safety and defensive tackle among them -- but it was apparent that the Bolts need to add some talent on the outside based on their performance against the Patriots in the Divisional Round of last season’s playoffs.”Pro Football Focus’ Steve Palazzolo: S Nasir Adderley-Delaware“The Chargers are strong all-around defensively, but Adderley adds a true free safety to pair with strong safety Derwin James. Adderley has incredible range and ball skills on the back end Corey Liuget Color Rush Jersey , evidenced by his 89.9 coverage grade, six pass breakups and five interceptions last season. Adderley and James are perfect for their respective roles and one of the best young safety duos in the game.”USA Today’s DraftWire’s Luke Easterling: CB Byron Murphy-Washington“There are bigger needs elsewhere on the roster, but the Bolts need to pounce on the value here. Murphy is the most complete corner in this year’s class, despite concerns about his lack of size or speed.”The Draft Network’s Trevor Sikkema: DT Jerry Tillery-Notre Dame“The Chargers need some new blood on that interior defensive line” Sikkema says.“They have Bosa and Ingram on the edges, but they’re not getting enough pass rush from their inside guys, at least if you ask me. Tillery’s stock is rising, but there is still a chance he could be available here. If the Chargers can get their hands on him, he’d become an instant starter. He would give Los Angeles a 3-tech pass rush threat next to Brandon Mebane.” I’ll be completely honest. When I did my series on predicting the Chargers’ 2018 season record way back in August, I really felt like this year was going to be special. At the same time, I was always teetering on the fence of being “real” and allowing the usual pessimism to seep into my work.As I went week by week, I tried to be transparent about my thought-process while I decided if the Chargers were going to win or lose that week’s match-up.I predicted them starting the year strong (I picked the wrong Chiefs game for them to win), and found myself in the month of December with five games left and the Chargers win column sitting packed to the brim.I had them losing to the Steelers, Chiefs, and Ravens in order to bring their record to 12-4 by the end of it all after I had them starting 10-1 through the first 12 weeks. This wasn’t wasn’t because I truly believed they would lose to the Steelers and Ravens, but that they were the most likely losses at a time where I felt I needed to force a couple more games into the loss column. Now that we are finally here with the regular season winding down, it’s absolutely amazing to see the team in an actual position to make my lofty prediction a reality. Even crazier to think that they could actually finish with an even better record than my 12-4 prediction.Unfortunately Dan Feeney Color Rush Jersey , the final two games of the season are still likely to be as tough as they come. Baltimore has the top defense in the NFL, allowing a league-low 290.2 total yards and 18.1 points per game to their opponents. On the other side of the ball, they employ Lamar Jackson, one of the most dynamic athletes in the entire league who has shown a propensity for winning games since he took over the starting gig in week 11, going 4-1 in his last five starts. While Baltimore’s offense as a whole hasn’t shown an exciting amount of production under Jackson, it’s their ability to get done what they need to in order to win games that’s kept them in the playoff hunt.Saturday night should be an all-out slug-fest between two teams that still have a lot left to play for and I couldn’t be more excited. With all that being said, let’s take a look at the three things I’ll be watching for the most once the Bolts take the field this weekend.1.) How will the Chargers attempt to defend the Ravens eclectic run game? The Ravens currently rank second in the league with 141.9 rushing yards per game and fourth in the NFL with 17 total rushing touchdowns on the year. In stark contrast, they also rank 18th in yards per attempt with a 4.3 average.Baltimore also happens to lead the league in rushing attempts with a whopping 465. This tells me that the Ravens survive on being efficient with their rushing through their immense volume. In fact, Jackson averages 17 carries a game from his quarterback spot, alone. The Ravens do a phenomenal job of keeping themselves ahead of the chains and consistently gettingthemselves into third-and-short situations that are easily converted behind their formidable offensive line.If I were to put money on the team’s game plan, I would say this is a big game for Derwin James staying up and around the line of scrimmage. Keeping the most athletic players up front is a must. The secondary is going to have to win their 1-on-1 matchups to allow the biggest threat to be neutralized. If Jackson is able to win through the air then he deserves to win this game.2.) How will Melvin Gordon look in his first game since week 12?In the Chargers week 12 contest against the Arizona Cardinals, Gordon forced the coaching staff to let him play in a game he felt was a statement game after the team’s loss to the Denver Broncos the prior week. The worst case scenario came to fruition as Gordon sustained a Grade 2 MCL sprain in the third quarter that has kept him out the last three weeks. Against all the odds, the Chargers went 3-0 during that span. However, three weeks is a long time to miss and, with the Ravens run defense as stout as it is, can we expect the same old Flash? In my opinion Kyle Emanuel Color Rush Jersey , I do think the deck is stacked against him, but the guy was on pace for six-straight games with over 150 yards from scrimmage prior to his injury. In his five previous games played, including the AZ game, Gordon failed to rush for 5.0 yards per carry just once.In all honesty, this might be one of those games where Gordon may only rush for about 50-60 yards but still finds a way to get involved through the passing game. 50-ish rushing yards to go along with 5-6 catches for another 40-50 receiving yards sounds right to me.3.) How will Eric Weddle and Philip Rivers handle their familiarity and will it favor one team over the other?Rivers and Weddle were teammates, and good friends, while the latter was with the Chargers from 2007-2015.On Saturday, the two meet for the first time since 2016 when the Ravens squeaked out a 29-26 victory in Baltimore after a game-winning field goal by Justin Tucker, one of his five made that day, despite Rivers throwing for 301 yards and three touchdowns. In a recent press conference, when asked about the potential chess match between him and Weddle, Rivers was asked if the safety’s experience with Rivers gave him advantage when the quarterback makes changes pre-snap.Rivers didn’t think it would make much of a difference as he believes focusing on what each signal meant could potentially cause Weddle to take his focus off the bigger picture and, in turn. burden his play.At the end of the day, it’s going to be an exciting match-up to see these two old friends go to battle against each other and I expect nothing short of a nostalgia-filled slug-fest at the StubHub Center.

Unfortunately, three plays later Philip Rivers lofted an errant pass that was intercepted by Isaac Yiadom.Neither offense came to play, though, and two Broncos punts sandwiched a Chargers punt before the Chargers took over on offense again. Tyrell Williams injected some life into the offense with a 17-yard catch and run. Mike Williams followd that with a 14-yard reception. Things once again appeared to be trending in the right way only for Rivers to throw another ugly pass that was picked off by Willie Parks. The teams then traded two punts a piece. Case Keenum and the Broncos offense took over from their one 20-yard line and started to put together a drive. A 5-yard carry from Royce Freeman was followed by a 10-yard reception by Andy Janovich. A holding penalty looked to derail them, but three plays later they had a new set of downs. That’s where the wheels came off, though. Back-to-back holding penalties by Garrett Bolles created a 1st & 30. Trying to play it safe, Keenum looked to dump the ball off, but it was a backward pass that his receiver was unable to handle and Kyle Emanuel scooped it up and scored a touchdown. When the Broncos got the ball back, they proceeded to move the ball down the field. River Cracraft hauled in a 44-yard pass to set up a 1st & goal from the 6. Two incomplete passes were followed by a Jahleel Addae interception that had a chance to put the Chargers firmly in control of the game Kyle Emanuel Color Rush Jersey , but for some unknown reason Addae pitched the ball toward a teammate who was looking to throw a block and ended up giving the ball right back to Denver. The defense continued to stay strong and held the Broncos offense to a field goal attempt which they converted before the half ended. The Broncos offense got the ball to start the second half and despite a 21-yard play to Tim Patrick, they still ended up punting the ball away from midfield.Starting from their own 11, the Chargers got Benjamin involved with an endaround that he turned into a new set of downs. Holding called on Virgil Green wiped out an impressive 19-yard run by Gordon, but Mike Williams moved the sticks with a terrific catch on 3rd down. With things going well, Ken Whisenhunt dialed up that terrible reverse call he likes so much and the drive was dead following an 11-yard loss on the play. Donnie Jones punted the ball back to Denver. Two plays into the Broncos’ drive, Adrian Phillips ripped the ball away from Patrick and it landed in Joey Bosa’s hands to give possession back to the Chargers. Rivers and co. only needed four plays to cover the 16 needed yards for a touchdown. Mike Williams capped the drive off by getting wide open in the end zone for six points. After the touchdown, both teams traded punts again with both drives featuring botched snaps.A 25-yard pass to Courtland Sutton quickly put the Broncos in Chargers’ territory. A few plays later, a 20-yard reception by the full back was six points. Down 5 following the score, Vance Joseph elected to go for 2. Keenum tried to go to Sutton Brandon Mebane Color Rush Jersey , but Hayward picked him off, broke a tackle from Sutton and raced the full length of the field for 2 points. After a touchback, the Chargers offense took the field and methodically marched 75 yards for a touchdown. The drive featured a 41-yard run by Ekeler, a 21-yard catch by Allen, and perhaps the most impressive contested catch of Mike Williams’ young career. Ekeler was the one who put the points on the board with a 1-yard run. Melvin Gordon also appeared to suffer an ankle injury on the drive. On the kick off, Desmond King punched the ball out along the sideline and the ball died just short of the boundary to allow the Chargers to recover it.And then it was Geno Time with 5:40 left in the game. Geno Time was... not great. Geno Smith almost immediately fumbled the ball away while trying to throw on the run. It was ugly to watch. The defense was then forced to take the field again. The Broncos offense continued to be ineffective, though, and they eventually turned the ball over on downs.Smith and the offense then came back on to try to run out the clock.

"For some time Cheap Nike Air , we've been investing in China and recognizing, as most brands have, that there is tremendous potential there," he said.Indeed, in 2018, Reebok saw its largest revenue gains in Asia-Pacific, with a 3 percent increase in net sales on a currency-neutral basis, to total 336 million euros (or roughly $377.9 million at current exchange). The market is its third largest Cheap Men FlyEase , behind Europe and North America. To help solidify its place among the Chinese consumer, Reebok opened a Creation Center in Shanghai last year, which O'Toole said is crafting product and marketing tailored specifically to the market. "They are gathering real insights on trends and what’s happening with the consumer," he said. "And they’re developing both apparel and footwear that initially would be available in the Chinese market and other Asian market, but in some cases may be more broadly distributed as well."He noted that today's presentation was an opportunity to present the creation team's work so far and get the message across that the words "Reebok" and "fashion" can go hand in hand. "Fashion is a main driver in the sportswear business," said O'Toole. "Our brand has followed that by working recently with people like Victoria Beckham and Pyer Moss to bring sport and fashion together. Now we’re showing the consumer [in China] that that’s what we do."Speaking hours after the SFW show, O'Toole said the early results from the event exceeded expectations in terms of the impact on its China e-commerce business. "The fact that we’re making some of the product available immediately, it’s helping www.thetopsneaker.com/nike-flyknit-men ," he said, "where people can not only appreciate the designs but go ahead and purchase them."Among the new looks on display in Shanghai was the Advanced Concepts’ Sole Fury sneaker developed by Helen Kirkum. The British designer is best known for what some call a "Frankenstein-esque" approach, where she repurposes elements from other products on her shoes. To create this special release for SFW, she broke down Reebok's 3D Opus 98, Instapump Fury, Run.R 96 and Ventilator silhouettes to make three unique visions of Sole Fury.Want More?Victoria Beckham Shows Off New Reebok Kicks on InstagramShould Reebok Drop UFC Star Conor McGregor Amid Sex Assault Allegations and Troubled Past?Gigi Hadid on Designing With Reebok & Becoming an Athleisure Street-Style Star
LONDON (AP) — Visiting Paris Saint-Germain fans have been involved in violence in London before attempting to bring weapons into a Women’s Champions League game against Chelsea. The first leg of the quarterfinal was played Thursday night at the Kingsmeadow Stadium in south London Alex Morgan Jersey , with Hannah Blundell and Erin Cuthbert giving Chelsea a 2-0 victory. The disorder began in the morning at the stadium in Kingston where a group of PSG fans are accused of causing “criminal damage” around 8 a.m. The Metropolitan Police said “all those involved had left the scene” when officers arrived. The force also reported “sporadic instances of disorder involving PSG supporters at both Waterloo and Wimbledon stations.”Police then stopped a bus that was taking fans to the stadium and found weapons, including knives and knuckle-dusters, and illegal drugs.Police arrested one man for possession of drugs and said “the remaining passengers were escorted from the area by police.”“We have to remember that the women’s game is progressing, that fans are following, and with that comes the same level of scrutiny Mallory Pugh Jersey , and ultimately they have to behave, whether it’s our fans or their fans. Not content with the results, owner Hiroshi Mikitani went out and signed Villa, who will team up with Iniesta when Kobe opens the season on Feb. 22 against Cerezo Osaka.“He’s a top quality player,” Iniesta said. “We hope he’ll bring a scoring touch, which is why he was brought here. His addition is a big jump in the quality of the team.”The 36-year-old Villa scored 59 goals in 98 appearances for Spain from 2004-17 Becky Sauerbrunn Jersey , including five goals at the 2010 World Cup as his nation won its first title. He scored four goals for Spain en route to the 2008 European Championship title. Before signing with Kobe, the Spanish forward spent four seasons with New York City FC, scoring 80 goals in 124 MLS appearances.Iniesta joined Kobe after last year’s World Cup and said the transition wasn’t easy. He scored only three goals in 14 matches and is hoping for better results this season.“I’ve had more time to prepare this season,” Iniesta said. “Last year, I needed an adjustment period but I’m in better condition this year and the team is in top form so hopefully we will have better results.”Soccer officials in Japan are hoping the presence of players like Iniesta and Villa will help raise the profile of the J-League as it competes with the Chinese league in the lucrative Asian market.“We’re hoping these world-class players like Iniesta can generate interest in the league not only in Japan but in Asia and the rest of the world Crystal Dunn Jersey ,” J-League chairman Mitsuru Murai said.Villa started his career at Sporting Gijon in 2000 before stints with Real Zaragoza and Valencia. He joined Iniesta at Barcelona in 2010, where he won the Spanish league twice and the Champions League. The 34-year-old Iniesta scored the winning goal for Spain in the 2010 World Cup final. He also was a key part of Spain’s two European Championship titles in 2008 and 2012.Kobe’s connections to Spain don’t stop with Iniesta and Villa. The team is coached by Juan Manuel Lillo, one of several Spanish coaches in the J-League.“The Spanish coaches are able to bring a different style to Japanese football,” Iniesta said. “It’s a positive development if they can combine the best of Spain and Japan to achieve better results.”
The Minnesota Vikings screamed at Stefon Diggs to step out of bounds once he secured the leaping catch at the sideline Youth Thomas Morstead Jersey , seeking to stop the clock for a long field goal try just after the New Orleans Saints had taken a late lead in their NFC divisional-round playoff game last season .Diggs spun around instead, pressed his hand on the turf to keep his balance and sprinted the remaining 34 yards for the game-ending 61-yard touchdown pass that became known as the Minneapolis Miracle. That throw-catch-run will forever be one of the most memorable plays in NFL history. With the Saints set to visit the Vikings on Sunday night in a prime-time reprise of their instant classic, the coaches and players on both sides were trying their best to forget it 鈥?as inevitable as the replays have been throughout the week."We'll just have to deal with watching that last play again another 15 times, another 20 times, but that's part of it," said Saints coach Sean Payton, who sounded more disturbed by a failure by his offense to convert a third-and-1 on the previous drive that would have further limited the time the Vikings had to rally. If Saints safety Marcus Williams had tackled Diggs instead of trying an ill-fated undercut, the story of that game would have been about yet another comeback engineered by Drew Brees."We did everything we could at the end of that game to go win it, and unfortunately they made a great play that allowed them to win it," Brees said. "So I let it go pretty quick. I guess it wasn't meant to be."Though he remains a promising second-year player, Williams has had a hard time handling his infamy ."It's another game," he repeated each time the subject was broached by reporters this week.Even Diggs ducked the media this week. As for the revenge factor? The Saints dismissed that as fast as Diggs raced to the end zone that day. The Vikings did, too."I think the Saints will come in with a chip on their shoulder because that's who they are," Vikings coach Mike Zimmer said. Here are some other key angles to follow for the game:BRILLIANT BREESAt age 39, Brees has completed better than 77 percent of his passes this season for 1,870 yards, 13 touchdowns and no interceptions. In beating the Baltimore Ravens last week, Brees became the fourth player in NFL history with 500 or more career touchdown passes. The Vikings might be without top cornerback Xavier Rhodes, which could mean a big test for rookie Holton Hill."I'm really not worried about this guy as far as the game being too big for him or anything like that if he has to play," Zimmer said of Hill. "I feel like he's a competitor. But he's going to get in some matchups that may not be great."THE BASICSWith the whiff by Williams at the worst possible time as a prime example, there's no defensive skill more vital than tackling. The Vikings have been burned more than usual this season in pass coverage, but they've been sound on the ground with an average of 89.7 rushing yards allowed per game. With cornerback Trae Waynes Thomas Morstead Jersey Stitched , safety Harrison Smith and linebacker Eric Kendricks among the standouts, the Vikings have some of the surest tacklers in the league."In today's NFL, the way everybody's playing in space now, if you're not a good tackler in space it makes it really hard to be a good defensive team," Zimmer said.GOING FOR ITThe Saints have run a fourth-down offensive play eight times in six games, converting seven."That gives us confidence when you've got a coach that believes in his players," running back Alvin Kamara said. "It's cool to have that type of coach where he gives us opportunities to prove ourselves."The Vikings have stopped four of the seven fourth-down plays against them. During their current three-game winning streak, they've thwarted 28 of 32 third downs and reclaimed the top spot in the league with a 23.4 percent conversion rate allowed.HILL'S ASCENTLast season, the Saints began to experiment with third-string quarterback Taysom Hill's versatility by letting him cover kicks. This year, he has on several short-yardage occasions replaced Brees under center as a change-of-pace, read-option quarterback. Hill also has executed fake punts as a runner and a thrower, caught a pass and even took his first pitch as a running back last week."He's powerful. He's got speed," Kamara said. "I love having him. I wouldn't want him to be nowhere else."TEDDY TALKBetween Brees and Hill on the depth chart is Teddy Bridgewater, who was acquired in a trade with the New York Jets two months ago. Though he's not likely to see the field, this will be Bridgewater's first visit to Minnesota as an opponent after playing his first four seasons for the Vikings."He's got a lot of really good traits. You can tell he's a guy that guys really like and will follow, and that's what you need at the quarterback position," Brees said.If Bridgewater had not suffered that devastating knee injury in 2016, he'd probably still be the face of the franchise in Minnesota instead of Kirk Cousins."Like I've said a million times, I thought he'd be the quarterback for the rest of my career," Zimmer said. "I love the kid. I love his nature, competitiveness, everything about him."2018 New Orleans Saints Training Camp Preview: Linebacker The New Orleans Saints are just a week away from the official beginning of their 2018 training camp. The Saints defense Youth Nick Easton Jersey , a major liability from 2012-16, has undergone major changes over the last few seasons. The unit as a whole had struggled, but the team's performance at linebacker was perhaps it's most glaring weakness. Often outmatched athletically, the linebacking unit as a whole was considered by many to be perhaps the worst in the NFL. Today's training camp preview has a look at some of the changes made at this position over the last couple of years, and how their performance might be a vital key to the 2018 season. LINEBACKER Key Losses: Michael Mauti (released), Adam Bighill (released, CFL)Key Additions: Demario Davis (free agent, Jets)Photo by Chris Graythen/Getty ImagesThe New Orleans defense finished last season ranked 17th in total yards and 10th in points surrendered. While a vastly improved secondary and better play up front were the primary reasons for the rise in rankings, the Saints linebacking play was still inconsistent at times. Still, improvement in this area was evident. Craig Robertson was the lone remaining starter from the 2016 defense, and he finished second in tackles after leading the team in the same category the year before. Robertson is an underrated and versatile defender capable of staying on the field in every situation. Although he does get caught out of position against the run at times, he was the Saints best coverage linebacker over the last two seasons, and led the team's linebacking unit with 2 interceptions and career high 6 passes defensed. Robertson is always around the ball, evidenced by his 2 sacks, 2 forced fumbles, and a fumble recovery. New Orleans added another defender always around the ball when they signed A.J. Klein away from division rival Carolina a year ago. The 26-yr. old Klein made the most of his first opportunity as a full time starter, and was among the team leaders in tackles before having his season cut short by injury after twelve games. A very good run defender and underrated blitzer, he tied Robertson with two sacks, tops among the team's linebackers. Klein is a capable man-to-man defender, and smart in his zone drops, although struggles at times with sideline to sideline reaction. Manti Te'o stepped up into a prominent role when injuries thinned out a linebacking corps that already had questionable depth. Although a liability in pass coverage, Te'o excelled against the run White Sam Mills Jersey , racking up a number of big stops during the course of the year. He played all 16 games for the first time in his five year career, and will bolster depth and stability as he enters the final year of his contract. Nate Stupar returns to the team after missing all but four contests last year with injury. A special teams standout, Stupar also adds versatile depth to the defense with starting experience and the ability to play either inside or outside. Derick E. Hingle-USA TODAY SportsNew Orleans used the second of it's three 3rd round picks, 76th overall, last spring to draft Florida linebacker Alex Anzalone. After winning a starting job in training camp, Anzalone appeared lost at times in the first couple games before looking like he could round into a potential star. Unfortunately, his season was ended after just four games due to a shoulder injury that plagued his collegiate career. Anzalone's injury history is a big concern to Saints fans, but he has the athleticism and instincts to be an every down player and possible defensive cornerstone. New Orleans signed Jayrone Elliott to a futures contract away from the Dallas Cowboys early into the offseason. The 26-yr. old Elliott had 3 sacks and an interception in 2015 with Green Bay, and totaled 47 tackles in three seasons there, as he tries to make a mark as a situational pass rusher. Undrafted college free agents Colton Jumper and KeShun Freeman will compete for snaps as well, hoping a standout performance will earn them a roster spot. Adam Hunger-USA TODAY SportsOne of the Saints' biggest offseason moves was the free agent signing of linebacker Demario Davis from the New York Jets. The 29-yr old Davis is coming off a career high 5 sacks and over 130 tackles in 2017, has 13.5 career sacks and has had over 100 tackles in four of the last five seasons. He is a fearsome tackler with tremendous speed and excellent play recognition, capable of playing the run or pass equally well. Linebacker coach Mike Nolan, whose hiring prior to 2017 made a major difference to the entire defense, has a versatile and athletic linebacking unit. Davis, Robertson, Anzalone, and Klein are all capable of playing any of the inside or outside positions, and have the ability to stay on the field in every game situation. The Saints linebackers are no longer overmatched physically, and were diagnosing opposing offenses well last season, even before the addition of Davis. The improvement of the New Orleans secondary and defensive line were primary reasons for the Saints defensive rise in 2017. Now a fast and physical linebacker group has the opportunity to make the 2018 New Orleans defense into an elite unit.
Dallas Cowboys scouting report: Dissecting the Detroit Lions offense The 1-2 Dallas Cowboys will meet up with the 1-2 Detroit Lions this Sunday in Arlington as the Cowboys will try and get back to .500 on the young season. Today we will take a look at the All-22 tape Jaylon Smith Jersey Stitched , to see how the Cowboys defense should defend the Matthew Stafford led offense. The Lions finally have a rushing attack... kindaFor years, all the weight has been on Matthew Stafford, Calvin Johnson, or the Lions defense’s shoulders. While that is still somewhat the case (minus Johnson), the Lions finally have a running back on their roster that can scare opposing defenses. The Lions drafted that player in the second round of the 2018 draft out of Auburn. If you aren’t familiar with Kerryon Johnson, do yourself a favor and become so, he will be one of the young rising stars as this season progresses. Johnson is a bigger back at 6-foot, 215-lbs, and shows off his impressive size and explosiveness in between the tackles, as well as when he bounces it outside. Johnson is an excellent runner that possesses great vision, balance through contact, and can do damage as a pass catcher as well out of the backfield. The Cowboys faced Saquon Barkley in week two, and struggled bringing him down on first contact, they may have similar issues on Sunday dealing with Kerryon Johnson if they don’t rally to the football, and tackle with the right technique. Play 1 - Kerryon Johnson showing off his vision, shiftiness, and balance through contactJim Bob Cooter will get creativeFor years, Detroit Lions fans have complained about their play-caller in a similar way that Cowboys Nation has about Scott Linehan. This season, Lions OC Jim Bob Cooter has shown a few more wrinkles than most Lions fans are used to seeing. With Cooter as the coordinator you’ll see the Lions work a heavy play-action offense, with a lot of bunch formations, and receivers in motion. Play 1 - Lions offense tries the fleaflicker against the PatriotsHere you’ll see the Lions motion the receiver at the top of the screen, hand the ball off to Blount for an ol’ fashioned fleaflicker. The play resulted in an incompletion, and the Patriots played this perfectly, but it has been relatively common to see a trick play or two by the Lions offense in these first three weeks.Lions running backs can and will catch the footballThrough three weeks, Theo Riddick has more receptions than any receiver on the Cowboys roster, and it’s really not even all that close. The Lions running backs (Johnson, Riddick, and Blount) have combined for 30 receptions, for 164 yards. You will see a lot of Riddick in the two-minute drill, and on obvious passing situations, and he can be a real problem for the Cowboys defense. Play 1 - Great route from Riddick leads to huge 1st downWhen Stafford see’s his receiving back lined up in man coverage, he almost always goes to him, and why wouldn’t he when Riddick can run a crisp route, create some separation, and gain almost 15 yards after the catch. Riddick is a real dangerous player for the Lions, it’ll be interesting to see how the Cowboys defend him. Maybe this is a role for first-round pick Leighton Vander Esch? Or maybe the Cowboys will matchup him up as if he’s a receiver and use a cornerback or a safety, that is the route I would go, especially on third downs. The Lions will play-action you to deathWhen you turn on the Lions tape, you’ll notice how much play-action they use throughout the game. For most teams, they will use the running game to set up play-action, but for the Lions, they use play-action to set up the running game. Three of Matthew Stafford’s six touchdowns have come off of play-action, and almost anytime the Lion get across the 50 yard line, the first play on that side of the field is play-action. The Cowboys cornerbacks, linebackers, and safeties will have to play with a great discipline and not get caught biting downhill.Play 1 - Play-action gets Kenny Golladay WIDE openTalk about fooling a defense. Eight of the 11 defensive players for the 49ers come running down hill to defend the run on this play-action. Not only does the quarterback, running back, and offensive line do a great job here, but notice the run-block fake that Kenny Golladay gives the cornerback to sell that the play is going to be a run play. The only thing left after that, is making sure he stays on his feet and gets behind the secondary and stays in bounds for six points.Play 2 - Play-action can still be effective, even when you don’t make the defense look sillyHere’s a little bit different view of a play-action touchdown from Matthew Stafford to Marvin Jones. The Patriots do a really nice job of defending the play-fake here, the only issue is, Marvin Jones is just too good of WR to leave in 1-on-1 coverage, when you give Matthew Stafford this much time. Jones does an excellent job of sticking his foot in the ground, giving a brief eye/head fake to the outside, before breaking back in towards the pylon. The burst that Marvin Jones shows out of his cut here is very impressive. Like Theo Riddick, Marvin Jones is going to be a very tough matchup on Sunday for the Cowboys’ cornerbacks. There aren’t many receivers in the league that possess his size, athleticism, and ability to make plays vertically down the field with the amount of consistency Jones does.Cowboys DL will have chance for sacksThe Detroit Lions have a very solid offensive line. They do a nice job of pass blocking, and have been doing great as a unit opening up running lanes for Johnson and Blount. With that being said, DeMarcus Lawrence still can have a big day lining up across from Rick Wagner. Wagner struggles playing with good technique consistently, and doesn't have the athletic ability to keep up with DeMarcus Lawrence’s strength and speed. On the interior of their OL, Frank Ragnow is a first-round pick out of Arkansas who is starting at left guard. I was big fan of Ragnow coming out of Arkansas, but he has had a similar start to his rookie season as Cowboys left guard, Connor Williams. Unfortunately for the Cowboys, they are pretty beat up on the interior with Datone Jones on IR, Antwaun Woods questionable, and Maliek Collins OUT with a sprained MCL.Play 1 - Wagner Youth Maliek Collins Jersey , Ragnow get beat for meeting at the QBIt’s always a win for the defense when three guys are touching the quarterback at the time of the sack. Both Ragnow and Wagner get beat extremely badly to give up the sack. Wagner gets caught over-extending and with too much weight on his inside foot to recover, while Ragnow gets knocked off balance off the snap and is never able to recover due to poor positioning and lack of strength. It would be wise for the Cowboys to allow Lawrence to work his magic against Wagner 1-on-1, but send a variety of looks at rookie guard Frank Ragnow. Look for blitz, twists, and other exotic packages to be thrown at the rookie lineman for the Lions early and often.Stafford should throw you one, or two throughout the gameMatthew Stafford has struggled taking care of the ball so far this season. Through three weeks, Stafford has thrown five interceptions and most of those came from Stafford struggling to read the defense. The Cowboys have yet to show a lot of zone coverage looks on defense, but this may be the week to do so with Stafford’s struggles seeing the whole field.Play 1 - Stafford throws right into the zone coverage for an easy interception Marvin Jones, Golden Tate, and Kenny Golladay are going to be tough to defend on Sunday, the Cowboys can help their chances be mixing up their coverages showing both zone, press-zone, man, and press-man looks throughout the game. Stafford has a cannon for an arm and sometimes trusts his arm more than he trusts his eyes. Giving Stafford multiple looks on defense will force him to be more careful before taking shots which will allow your pass rush to get home, or force him to get the ball out before he would like. Both of those things, are positive for a Cowboys defense that has yet to record and interception in 2018.The Cowboys defense is looking to bounce back on Sunday after having a few miscommunication and coverage breakdowns against the Seahawks last weekend. In order to win this football game, the Cowboys defense is going to have to hold the Lions offense under 20 points. If they do the Cowboys should win, if the don’t the team will likely fall to 1-3 heading into week five. The Cowboys may have found their next Rod Marinelli specialty."WhiteFanposts Fanshots Sections Dallas Cowboys NewsDallas Cowboys 2019 Free AgencyScouting new free agent signee Kerry Hyder and his fit in DallasNew,39commentsThe Cowboys may have found their next Rod Marinelli specialty.CDTShareTweetShareShareScouting new free agent signee Kerry Hyder and his fit in DallasTroy Wayrynen-USA TODAY SportsIt’s become a bit of an annual event where the Cowboys find one or two bargain bin free agents along the defensive line and Rod Marinelli is able to seamlessly incorporate them into the defense, turning them into solid contributors. Last year it was Antwaun Woods, and before him there was David Irving, Nick Hayden, and Terrell McClain, among others. We mayhave found the next one in newly-signed Kerry Hyder. Born and raised in Austin, Texas, Hyder playedat Texas Tech, having first been recruited by Mike Leach and also playing under head coaches Tommy Tuberville and Kliff Kingsbury. As a Red Raider, Hyder alternated between defensive tackle and defensive end and logged 11 career sacks and 33.5 tackles for loss, as well as forcing eight fumbles and recovering two. Still, Hyder went undrafted in 2014 and signed with the Jets. He was cut in the final week of the preseason and placed on the practice squad. The Lions picked him up at the end of the 2014 season and after Hyder impressed with three sacks in the preseason, he made the Lions roster. Hyder only saw one game of action in the 2015 season but he had a breakout year in 2016. From his reserve role, he racked up 3.5 sacks in the first two games of the season and when Ezekiel Ansah went down with an injury, Hyder earned the start in his place. He went on to record eight total sacks throughout the year and 19 hits on the quarterback, contributing even after Ansah returned to the starting lineup. He ended up leading the team in both sacks and tackles for loss, and was also given the annual “Good Guy Award” by the Detroit members of the Pro Football Writers Association.Entering the 2017 season, Hyder was expected to be a frequent contributor on the defensive line, but he tore his Achilles in the preseason and missed the whole year. In 2018, new head coach Matt Patricia brought with him a hybrid defense that Hyder just didn’t fit in, and as a result he rarely saw action. Still, Hyder managed a sack in his limited snaps. It was a small sample size, but the 2016 season showed just how effective Hyder can be. According to Pro Football Focus, he had a career high 55 total pressures in the 2016 season, when he earned a solid 68.4 overall rating from PFF. They also note that Hyder only played 153 snaps in 2018, which indicates how much his usage dropped, but he still earned a 57.8 pass rush rating despite the low rate of involvement. From a physical standpoint, Hyder projects best as a defensive end, though he does have the potential and some experience to play inside on passing downs. Listed at somewhere between 270 and 280 pounds (depending on the source) and standing at 6’2”, Hyder has 33 1/5” long arms, which gives him good length when going up against offensive linemen. Hyder’s most productive year was when Teryl Austin was the defensive coordinator in Detroit; Austin ran a 4-3 scheme that works very similarly to the one Dallas runs, and that’s where Hyder excelled. Here’s an example of the threat that Hyder can pose coming off the edge. This is taken from a 2016 matchup against the Minnesota Vikings. Lined up wide, Hyder gets a one-on-one matchup against the right tackle on an island and uses a great chop move to neutralize the blocker and get in the quarterback’s face. This next clip comes from the 2016 season when the Lions played the Cowboys late in the regular season. This time lined up on the right side, Hyder takes an inside angle and gets bullied a bit by both Tyron Smith and Ronald Leary, but he keeps with the play. After the interior of the line parts like the red sea, Dak Prescott takes off to run, but Hyder does a good job of watching him and tracking Dak down to tackle him from behind. If not for Hyder’s awareness and persistence, Dak probably would have busted off a huge run. For what it’s worth, though, Dallas ended up winning this game 42-21. In this final clip from an earlier 2016 matchup against the Vikings, Hyder comes off the edge and gets into the chest of the right tackle, driving him inside. Hyder combines his quick burst with strength to work around the tackle and ends up right in the quarterback’s face for the sack. Only time will tell if Hyder can return to the way he played in 2016, but this will be his first time playing in a straight 4-3 system since then, and he’ll be working with two of the brightest minds in Marinelli and Kris Richard. Hyder could get some work at the right defensive end position opposite DeMarcus Lawrence, generating one-on-one matchups that he’s shown he can win. He can also kick inside when needed, the Lions used him as a situational pass rusher from the interior during the 2018 season. In short, Hyder offers up a lot of athleticism and quickness that translates well when rushing the passer. This is a very low-risk, high-reward kind of signing that Dallas has seemingly perfected in recent years. Hopefully this Texas native can reinvigorate his career playing for his hometown team.
Film Room: Rookie DE Kemoko Turay impressing early GM Chris Ballard has seemingly hit a home run with his 2018 draft class. Second round pick Darius Leonard leads the NFL in tackles through four games and seems to be the long term answer at linebacker for the Colts. Fourth round running back Nyheim Hines has carved out a nice role for himself on an up and down offense and is getting better each and every week. Top ten pick Quenton Nelson has had his fair share of struggles but has impressed against some really tough competition to start his career. With those three shining Youth Tyquan Lewis Jersey , it appears that people aren’t talking about the other notable draft pick getting a lot of playing time— defensive end Kemoko Turay. Turay was selected 52nd overall out of Rutgers in the 2018 draft. An odd fit for the Colts on paper as Turay’s skill set seemed to fit a 3-4 defense rather than the newly installed 4-3 here in Indianapolis.Turay was a highly regarded prospect heading into the draft but was mostly seen as a raw pass rusher. After only playing two years of high school football and three years of college football at Rutgers, Turay made the big leap to the NFL. Despite this inexperience, Turay has already accumulated 2 sacks in 4 professional games as a sub defensive end. Lets take a look at the film and see if his play lines up with his impressive statistical output.Positives: Pass Rush AbilityLets start with the positive ability he brings in rushing the passer. Turay is a rare pass rusher as he has the athleticism and bend to be one of the best in the league. He turns the corner with great hip flexibility which helps him beat some of the better offensive tackles— like Jason Peters— in the NFL. This year he has also flashed an array of pass rush moves that are very impressive for a player as “raw” as Turay. Just from watching his film, I’ve seen flashes of speed rushes, swim moves, spin moves, under moves, and counter/ rip moves. The fact that he’s showing off the ability to perform moves like that is very impressive. Let’s look at a few examples here:In our first example here, Turay is stunting inside with Hassan Ridgeway eating up the guard and tackle. Notice the quickness and explosion Turay shows on this play as he quickly eats up the space between him and the quarterback. He’s able to get in Alex Smith’s path and disrupt the throwing motion here which results in an under throw. Also notice how Turay gets his hands up here. He does this almost every play on film. Veteran type move to recognize when the QB is going to get rid of the ball to get his hands up.Our next clip showcases Turay’s first sack of his career. The best thing about this clip isn’t just the successful speed rush but the fact that he’s using his left arm to create separation on his rush. That extended arm creates leverage for Turay to bend around the corner. Also notice how Turay doesn’t give up on the play here as he works his way back down into the pocket. Initially he’s too wide on his speed rush but is able to work back for the sack. This next rep doesn’t result in a sack but you can see more of his pass rush skill set here. He first starts with a swim move to get up field then gets to bending around the edge to the quarterback. Again notice how he keeps his left arm extended to separate from the tackle. Once he develops more and learns how to truly win from that position, more sacks will come. The fact that he can bend the edge though and get a very good tackle like Jason Peters in that position is very promising. This next rep may be my personal favorite although it won’t ever appear in a box score. I mentioned earlier how important it is to keep that arm extended as so many more counters are created when rushing the passer off of it. Well here is an example of one of those counters as Turay rips under the arms of Peters and is able to separate for the near sack. This is the potential with Turay here that gets me very excited for him in the future as a rusher.Again look at a glimpse of what Turay could be with more playing time and development. Here he clubs the hands of the offensive tackle then bends around the corner for the half sack. I’m a big fan of pass rushers who have a plan of attack when rushing the passer and Turay almost always has a plan in mind when rushing. Having his baseline of bend, athleticism, and hand usage is a great recipe going forward for a young pass rusher.Where he needs to improve: Run defenseI’m not going to sugarcoat it too much Tyquan Lewis Jersey Stitched , Turay needs to improve in run defense if he wants to see the field more. I don’t think he is poor in terms of mental processing or filling run gaps either, I think the main issue is his lack of strength to hold up in the run game. He has some mental lapses here and there when defending the run— mainly because he has been a sub rusher his entire life— but the way he gets directed around by offensive tackles is not ideal. Obviously the coaches have noticed this as well as I only counted Turay as playing defensive end on 6 run plays against the Eagles and Redskins. This first clip shows my concerns with his strength right here. Number 81— WR Jordan Matthews— is able to completely take Turay out of this play just by getting his hands on him. Ideally you’d like to see your defensive end work up field and get a piece of the pulling tackle so the cornerback can make the tackle. As a result, the tackle is able to block Desir and the run gets an extra 5-10 yards. Now this next play is a tough one for Turay. His natural reaction at the snap is to attack up field like he’s rushing the passer. Unfortunately when you are facing the best left tackle in all of football, he’s going to make you pay for that false step. Williams is able to simply toss Turay 5 yards into the backfield with just his right arm leaving a huge cutback lane for Adrian Peterson. Luckily the rest of the defense was there to make the play. This next one is another example of Turay giving up the cutback lane. He crashes down the line on the zone read like he’s supposed to but is unable to hold up at the point of attack against guard Zach Fulton. I really think that if Turay is able to put on a little bit of weight and add some strength he can be an every down defensive end. Until he proves that he can hold up in run defense though, his role will always be as sub pass rusher— which is not a bad thing by any means. Robert Mathis influence: Spin move? Now this next part is something pretty cool that I noticed when watching film. It’s no secret that Turay has been attempting to learn everything he can from future Hall of Famer and Colts’ legend Robert Mathis. According to Zak Keefer of Indy Star Sports, Turay “has been watching film one-on-one with pass-rushing guru Robert Mathis throughout camp, sometimes twice a day, sometimes as early as 5:45 a.m.” I think a lot of that film work is resulting in Turay trying out some new pass rushing moves on the field. One that I particularly noticed Turay attempting is the signature move of Mathis’ old running mate Dwight Freeney— the spin move. Let’s see how Turay has fared with this new weapon in his arsenal so far.The first clip here Turay does an excellent job of swatting Trent Williams’ hands to create separation. He then engages Williams and goes for the spin move. Although it is a little late and he’s a bit too high when he tries it, he still nearly gets to Alex Smith on this play. Obviously a work in progress still but it nearly results in a sack. Here we see the same move just two weeks later again almost result in a sack. The vast improvement on this play from the last one is that this time the spin was used in his plan of attack rather than as a last ditch effort. Here Turay initiates the bull rush in order to counter with the spin. Already noticeable improvement. Although its not near the level of Dwight Freeney, obviously, I expect this move to develop over the course of the season and result in a highlight reel sack or two.Bonus play: Effort is keyLast bit of film I want to highlight here but it’s so important for young players to have great effort. Most young players have trouble adjusting to the NFL because they can’t just physically overpower players anymore. It is key for young players to show plus effort while they develop so that effort translates when they are able to elevate their play with experience. Turay shows great effort each and every play and this clip displays it perfectly. In this rep, Turay is stunting inside on the pass rush. He quickly notices that he isn’t going to get to the QB so he instantly gets his hands up and in the passing lane— something I raved about earlier in this piece and will continue to praise—causing Alex Smith to roll out of the pocket. Turay then races out to the sidelines after Smith Youth Nyheim Hines Jersey , forcing him to step out of bounds. It may not look like much but these effort plays are just so important for his development. Its one of my biggest takeaways from his film review.AnalysisOverall, Turay has all the makings to be a premier pass rusher in this league. He is way further along in development than I could’ve ever imagined him being at this point— which seems to be a common trend in this draft class. His bend and athleticism were known coming in but the work he has done in refining his skills as a pass rusher particularly when it comes to his hand usage is blowing me away. Now he could still improve as a run defender but for the role he plays in this defense its not a necessity. Obviously over time the Colts would like to see him become more well rounded but right now he is perfectly suited in that third down pass rusher role. In a league that is pass dominant at the moment, that ability is very coveted.I think we will continue to see steady improvement from Turay like we have seen all season to this point. He has the ability and has shown the work ethic to become a very good pass rusher in this league. All that’s left is putting it all together and putting up big numbers. I think he has shown so far to this point that he can hit that potential. INDIANAPOLIS 鈥?Andrew Luck tossed around more dance moves than footballs this offseason. He loved every minute of it.So when the star quarterback returned to the Indianapolis Colts complex Monday, he was rested, recharged and ready to start offseason workouts.“I finally got a chance to get away,” Luck said after the initial welcome back team meeting. “I talked to (general manager) Chris (Ballard) about that a little bit. He sort of challenged me to turn my mind off. It took a while, but I did get away. I feel refreshed. It was a very nice offseason.”At least it was different.Luck didn’t throw in either of the two previous offseasons, but not by choice. Instead, he followed doctor’s orders while recovering from surgery on his throwing shoulder. This time, Luck opted for a well deserved break after perhaps the best season of his pro career.Plus, Luck had other plans. After dating Stanford gymnast Nicole Pechanec for nearly a decade, the couple finally got married last month in the Czech Republic.“Not much has changed besides a ring on the finger and she’s got great insurance now Nyheim Hines Jersey Stitched ,” Luck cracked. “It’s awesome. It was the best day of my life and probably the best offseason I ever had.”Luck also had fun shooting a commercial for sports drink company Body Armor. The addition of baseball star Mike Trout helped convince Luck to take a chance.Dressed in 1970s disco garb, Luck and Trout cut it up on the dance floor 鈥?stirring up a conversation about Luck’s groovy moves. He even heard from Stanford coach David Shaw, who emailed that his children rewound the commercial multiple times when they first saw it.“My initial reaction to just about everything is no,” Luck said. “Then I thought about it and talked to my agent. He said Mike Trout was interested and I admire him very much. Then thought about it and — why not? I think I feel much more comfortable making fun of myself than trying to be cool.”He wasn’t the only Colts player to try his hand at performing.All-Pro guard Quenton Nelson聽posted a video聽on Instagram of himself, bare-chested, mimicking the moves from a Cardi B video. The rapper and fans weren’t the only ones who were watching.“I don’t know if Andrew was acting or not, but Quenton, I thought, was pretty good,” center Ryan Kelly said. “As long as he (Nelson) keeps mowing people over in the running game, I don’t care.”Nelson did not speak Monday. But Luck said he is eager to get back to work nearly three months after the 2018 season ended with a divisional-round loss at Kansas City. The good news: Not much has changed inside the locker room.Ballard spent the offseason investing heavily in keeping the roster intact. Three more Colts players 鈥?receivers Chester Rogers and Marcus Johnson and safety Mathias Farley 鈥?joined the list when they signed one-year tenders Monday.Indy has re-signed six of 15 unrestricted free agents, with receiver Ryan Grant the only player heading out of town. He signed with Oakland two weeks ago.Meanwhile Youth Malik Hooker Jersey , Ballard added only two newcomers, former Carolina receiver Devin Funchess and former Kansas City pass rusher Justin Houston. Funchess gives Indy a bigger downfield threat. Houston brings a veteran presence to a young defense that improved dramatically under first-year coordinator Matt Eberflus.“With me doing a little bit of pass rushing, hopefully, he’ll help with how I use my hands, learning what moves to use here and what moves to use there,” All-Pro linebacker Darius Leonard said. “Hopefully, I can stay in his back pocket and learn from him.”And now that the offseason is over, Luck can’t wait to see how much he can improve on the big stage.“I haven’t thrown at all,” Luck said. “I’ll have a plan. Again, I have learned so many things over the past couple of years and part of that is building a plan and adjusting within it based on how you feel. We will certainly use the resources in the building and some other folks that help. So that’s a big part of this offseason as well.”100View Gallery Gallery:View from the sidelines: NFL cheerleaders 2018Raj Mehta-USA TODAY Sports | Raj Mehta
Pittsburgh Steelers outside linebacker Bud Dupree spent a rare fall weekend off watching the rest of the AFC North falter Chad Thomas Jersey 2019 , one by one. First, the Browns lost in overtime in Tampa. Then Baltimore fell at home to New Orleans when Justin Tucker missed the first extra point of his career. Then Cincinnati was bum rushed by Kansas City. And just like that, the Steelers (3-2-1) were back atop the division."We never panicked," Dupree said. "We may have lost two games but we never panicked. We tied (but) we never panicked. We know what type of team we got."One with a chance in a way to start over seven weeks into the season. Pittsburgh is well-rested heading into a visit from the Browns (2-4-1) on Sunday, a rematch of a 21-21 tie in Week 1 that felt an awful lot like a loss to the Steelers, who led by 14 going into the fourth quarter only to see it slip away. Another setback a week later at home to the Chiefs , the continuing melodrama surrounding wide receiver Antonio Brown and the extended absence of All-Pro running back Le'Veon Bell had Pittsburgh teetering. Not so much anymore. Brown is tied for the league lead in receiving touchdowns and while Bell's exact arrival date remains uncertain — his locker remained largely untouched on Monday while he continues to wait to sign his one-year franchise tender — the Steelers have survived thanks in large part to the rapid development of second-year back James Conner .Bell told ESPN last month he planned to arrive before Cleveland visited Heinz Field. It still might happen, though it's hard to imagine him being anywhere close to game ready if he shows up before Sunday. Now the same teammates who called Bell out when he failed to arrive in time for the opener are taking a more pragmatic approach to his extended sabbatical.Center Maurkice Pouncey laughed when asked if there was a betting pool among the Steelers on when exactly Bell will be in his familiar spot just inside the team's locker-room door."No bets are out there trust me, we are not gambling here," Pouncey said.Pouncey might not be, but Bell certainly is. He's already sacrificed over $5.1 million of the $14.5 million in guaranteed money he was expected to receive this season playing on the tag. Bell's plan remains a mystery to his teammates and the organization, one of the reasons Pouncey shrugged off questions about Bell's status."Honestly I'm enjoying the ride just like you guys," Pouncey said. "I want to see how it plays out. It seems pretty cool. I don't know. I'm going to wait and see."The tension that accompanied Bell's decision to go away — and stay away — has dissipated. If anything, the Steelers have moved on. That Bell didn't show up for work Monday hardly qualifies as news. Pittsburgh is more focused on trying to carry forward the momentum it built while beating Atlanta and Cincinnati before heading into its off week, a modest two-game winning streak that suddenly made the Steelers the hottest team in the unpredictable AFC North. Not that they feel the worst is behind them."For us to focus on something that means completely nothing at this point in the season (like the standings) is worthless Orange David Njoku Jersey ," defensive end Cam Heyward said. "I just think got to be a group on the hunt."Even if technically Pittsburgh is now the hunted, just as it has been while winning the division each of the last two seasons. Then again, things could change quickly. The Steelers host the Browns, then visit Baltimore the following week. They don't play another division game until facing Cincinnati in the regular-season finale. What the standings will look like then is anybody's guess. Then again, being in the driver's seat despite its wholly uneven play certainly beats the alternative."We don't have to stand around looking at anybody else and wonder if a team is going to do this or that," Heyward said. "We play every team once again in our division. We control our destiny, that's the way you want it. But we got a lot of work to do to do that." This was not what San Francisco 49ers head coach Mike Shanahan had intended for his team or his offense. He had plans to build on his read-option offense Aqib Talib Color Rush Jersey , led by starting quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo. Prior to the season’s start, the San Francisco head coach was asked if defenses would figure out his read-option, especially after watching Garoppolo’s five starts in the 2017 season. “There isn’t anything to figure out,” Shanahan said during the July 2018 press conference. “It’s a very sound scheme.” It is a sound scheme, so long as the offense has a quarterback who can make the passes that open up against defenses trying to stop the read-topn. Not to mention that quarterback also has to be good enough to run with the football. ”It’s tough to find that guy,” Shanahan said. “And if you don’t protect him right, if you don’t do the right stuff, it is tough to stay healthy.” That guy, being Jimmy Garoppolo, tore his ACL in the third week of the season. Getting a biteThe 49ers offense doesn’t have the full power of a Garoppolo-led offense. But it’s been able to move the ball with deception. Take this play against the Bears, for example.San Francisco lines up in the base 21-personnel while the Bears have seven men in the box. Up until this point, San Francisco had been moving the ball primarily through the running game (Nick Mullens was 4-for-8 with 24 yards leading up to this play). Off the snap, Mullens drops back for a pass while the fullback and running back fake a run to left, which draws in the linebackers. This allows Dante Pettis space for his slant route. By the time the linebackers realize it’s a pass, Pettis is open for the catch which becomes a 13-yard gain. This deception also works with play-action passes and the run game. The play-action pass was one of the more notable options for the offense during Gorroppolo’s first season with San Francisco. The option was still in use when the 49ers played Los Angeles in the first meeting of the year. The play above went for nine yards and a first down. The 49ers sell the run with a fullback in motion and the offensive line appearing to down-block left. This causes the Rams defense to bite on the run, leaving a tight end on a crossing route unattended. Ebukam Samson does his job by not overcommitting to the run. But he’s helpless against the play-action and San Francisco gets a solid gain. The 49ers kept the Rams on their heels with another play disguise. Another man is put in motion, which took a Rams’ defender out of the left side of the field. This allowed the 49ers’ Joe Staley to kick outside and take out a Marcus Peters for the big run, which was a toss left on a fake sweep right. Learning quickEventually, the San Francisco offense gets figured out. Defenses catch their breath, learn what’s going on and adapt to the situation. San Francisco’s offense in Garoppolo’s absence is like a firework — short-lived excitement. It’s why the team is 4-11 at this point in the season and why the scoring offense is near the bottom of the league (red-zone offense is dead-last). The play above is identical to the very first play shown in this piece, except it’s run on the left side of the field. While the Bears send a linebacker on the blitz, they pick up Mullens’ drop back again. The remaining linebackers stay home and run towards the target. While Marquise Goodwin makes the 7-yard catch, there is no YAC. This was a similar play-action pass with a man in motion (to remove a defender in the target space). But this time, everyone does their job and doesn’t bite on the misdirection. Take John Johnson, for example (top left). He picks up the tight end on the crossing route immediately off the snap and stays with him for the eventual interception. This has been a nightmare season for the 49ers. They’ve been plagued with injuries and could do only so much with the guys they had on their roster. Mullens is a great story and he will likely be a good depth quarterback in the future, whether it be in San Francisco or elsewhere. 2019January 5-6: Wild Card Playoffs.January 6: Assistant coaches under contract to playoff clubs that have byes in the Wild Card weekend may be interviewed for head coaching positions through the conclusion of the Wild Card games.January 12-13: Divisional Playoffs.January 13: Assistant coaches under contract to playoff clubs that won their Wild Card games may be interviewed for head coaching positions through the conclusion of Divisional Playoff games.January 14: Deadline for college players that are underclassmen to apply for special eligibility. I was just recently reminded of the cryptic text message I received back on January 22 Joe Gilliam Jersey , 2017 immediately following the AFC championship game. The text was from me, and it was sent back in time from 2019 in order to offer some encouragement. The message was as follows:“I know you’re disappointed in this loss, but the only game Ben Roethlisberger will miss in the next two seasons will be to rest for the playoffs.”Needless to say, I was ecstatic. The question wasn’t if, but how many Super Bowls this would bring. Could they win it in both seasons? Never did I envision the Steelers not even winning a playoff game in this scenario.Obviously I have not (yet) used my Physics degree to manipulate the space/time continuum via text message. And if I did, I’m sure I would not use it to merely offer encouragement, but would instead take the Biff Tannen route and offer sports betting information, even if it were only to take down Jeff Hartman and Bryan Anthony Davis in FanDuel. Regardless of what evils I would use time-texting for, the point of this exercise was to bring up the notion of the perceived success of the Steelers based on the health of Ben Roethlisberger. The 2016 season had Steeler fans concerned about Roethlisberger’s long-term health before the first regular-season game was played. After missing 5 starts in 2015 with knee and foot issues, Roethlisberger missed time in the wildcard game against the Bengals after hurting his shoulder. Ben did come back to play the following week, although Antonio Brown, Le’Veon Bell, and DeAngelo Williams were all out of action against the Broncos. Even being far from healthy, the Steelers managed to have a late lead in the game before losing it on鈥?let’s not hash that out again. As 2016 got going, Ben ended up needing surgery for a torn meniscus which cost him the game against the Patriots leading into the bye week. With a shaky start coming out of the by where the team didn’t score until almost halfway through the fourth quarter, the Steelers dropped the game to the Ravens and the following week to the Cowboys. But as the team got healthy, they won their final seven games of the season with Ben sitting out the last week to get some rest. After the loss to the Patriots on that ill-fated January night, many Steeler fans felt very optimistic going into the next season. If only Ben and the rest of the squad could stay healthy, a seventh Lombardi was within their grasp. After all, it was Ben’s health which affected their standing in 2015, and it was the game missed which kept the Steelers from getting a first-round bye in 2016.Unfortunately, Ben Roethlisberger playing in every regular season game has not always equaled playoff success. The obvious exception was the first season in which Ben played every game in 2008 when the Steelers won the Super Bowl. But the other three seasons in which Ben has started 16 games JuJu Smith-Schuster Color Rush Jersey , the Steelers have a postseason record of 0–1 having made the playoffs only once. If lowering the standard down to 15 games started for Rothlisberger, it actually begins to look worse. In those five seasons, the Steelers made the playoffs three times, but once again couldn’t find a single victory, giving a record of 0-3. So in the nine seasons in which Ben has started 15 or more games, the Steelers have won the Super Bowl once, and not won a playoff game in the other eight. In the six seasons Ben Roethlisberger has thrown for 4,000 yards or more, the Steelers have not won a playoff game (0-3). In any season in which Ben has thrown 30 or more touchdowns, the Steelers have not won a playoff game (0-2). As for passing attempts, when Rothlisberger has thrown 500 or more passes in the season, the Steelers only have one year in which they won any playoff games (two in 2016). How many playoff wins do you think the Steelers had in the three years Ben had a quarterback rating over 100? That’s correct- zero.I realize that a lot of the seasons are duplicates. Obviously Ben has a chance to throw more touchdowns or more passes in seasons where he plays more games. The quarterback rating is one which wouldn’t matter how much time he played, but that’s the only one. What all these number support is this: Ben Roethlisberger carrying the Steelers for 16 games is not the determining factor of the team’s success.I spent a lot of times scouring through the statistics of the Steelers best playoff years with Ben Roethlisberger. Obviously the years in which they reached the Super Bowl (2005, 2008, and 2010) are on top of this list. I also like to throw in 2016 since it was the only other season in which the Steelers won multiple playoff games. And looking at all the stats, there isn’t anything which separates those years out from the others. Having a top ranked defense was part of the success for the Super Bowl teams, but the Steelers still made quite a run in 2016 with just an average defense, and the Steelers had a highly ranked defense in the other seasons early in Ben’s career which did not lead to playoff wins. I searched through rushing yards, rushing attempts, interceptions, completion percentages, and all sorts of different statistics. But there was no magic number which popped out with why the Steelers had the playoff runs in the years they did.I’ve always been one of the first fans to shout about Ben‘s health being what will determine if the Steeler season is successful or not. I’ve always felt if the Steelers lose Rothlisberger for the year https://www.steelerssportshop.com/Martavis-Bryant-Jersey , the season is basically a wash. Although the numbers don’t support it, it is still a very important factor. But it’s the unmeasurable things that really push the Steelers toward success. Teamwork. Balance. Camaraderie. Confidence. Ironically, many of these are things the team could develop to “overcome adversity” in seasons when Ben misses a stretch of games.Ben Roethlisberger can put up record-setting numbers every year for the rest of his career, but until the Steelers can have success with the unmeasurables, the statistics are not going to paint a good playoff picture. You know those people who are always saying they miss defense in football, particularly the National Football League? I’ve often encouraged them to go back and watch old games from the 1970s on YouTube. You can do it, it’s actually quite easy—I know, because I’m now a streaming TV junkie, and I watch old football games all the gosh darn time. Now, if you are going to go back and watch some of these old football games, I strongly suggest you put your sleeping pills away; if you do have trouble sleeping, these games will cure that ailment easier than a documentary about other old stuff. In all seriousness, you and I both know you don’t like defense as much as you say you do. It’s kind of like saying society should adopt some of its old ways of technology, technology that, for example, involves a phone receiver with a cord attached to it.It might seem sexy and ironically progressive to suggest that the old ways are better, but they really, really aren’t.Same with the style of professional football your grandfather used to watch on that giant tube looking thing that he had to walk across the living room and touch if he wanted to change the channel from the CBS Game of the Week to the NBC match-up featuring play-by-play man Curt Gowdy. Speaking of the late Curt Gowdy, he’s the man who called the famous Immaculate Reception divisional round playoff game between the Steelers and Raiders at old Three Rivers Stadium way back in 1972. Sure, we all know how that game ended. Franco Harris rode in on a white stallion and rescued Steeler Nation from yet another year without a playoff victory. But that moment occurred in the final seconds of that game. As for the other 59 minutes and change? They were rather boring, blah, forgettable. You might not think so James Harrison Jersey , but that’s because you only remember the exciting Franco play and not the other 120 or so that accomplished nothing. If not for Franco’s heroics, the Immaculate Reception game would have been just your average 7-6 affair that nobodywould have ever uploaded on YouTube. Defense is boring, at least the kind fans must be referring to when they say 7-6 games can be exciting. 7-6 is rarely exciting. It’s certainly not exciting when it happens during your average August preseason game quarterbacked by Josh Dobbs. And it’s really not exciting when it happens during the Super Bowl, which it did when the Patriots took on the Rams in a 60-minute snore-fest just last week. To be fair, New England and Los Angeles did combineto score more than 13 points—16, to be exact—but that didn’t happen until the bitter end, when the Patriots tacked on 10 points and saved us all from offseason rule changes that likely would have involved giving offensive players the option of scoring a touchdown in the end zone closest to them. As it stood, Super Bowl LIII was still so lacking in actual offense—in addition to the 16 points that were scored, the two teams combined to go six for 25 on third downs and only one play was snapped inside the red zone the entire night—social media had an actual meltdown. “This game is boring!!!!!!!” said your average fan on Twitter. “SHUT UP!!!!!!” screamed Trey Wingo the next morning. Actually, I’m going to side with your average fan on Twitter in this argument. And make no mistake, the NFL will, too. The NFL decided long, long ago that offense sells. We might rip the league for its plethora of rules that benefit offense, but it can’t be a coincidence that the beginning of the league’s popularity can be traced back to the 1970s when those footballs began to soar just a little more than they had before. In my opinion, what makes football so special is you can have a 13-3 game break out at any moment, even in the Super Bowl. And regardless of how dominant an offense can be, there’s always that one defense that can render it totally inept—at least for 60 minutes. I think 13-3 games can be beautiful. I also love 33-30 match-ups. But if I had to pick which one I’d like to see on a regular basis, well.....let those footballs continue to fly, baby!
As the saying goes (I think) https://www.ramsfanstore.com/Brian-Allen-Jersey , wisdom often never arrives at all, it’s better that it show up late. For the NFL, it wasn’t wisdom so much as it was desperation that forced the league to pull the plug on Monday night’s Chiefs-Rams game Mexico City. The field had disintegrated to somewhere between prison yard and post-apocalyptic, and there was no amount of emergency sodding that was going to make it suitable for NFL football by Monday night. So here’s the question that may never be answered: Why did it come so close to happening? The concert that tore up the turf occurred on October 11 Jacob McQuaide Color Rush Jersey , more than a month before the plug was pulled. What did the league think would occur between then and now to allow the field to meet the NFL’s standards?Although the NFL avoided the ultimate embarrassment of insisting on playing the game and having players refuse to play at all, the fact that the league had to throw in the towel on the Mexico City game only six days before playing it is embarrassing enough.Whatever the explanation, it’s hard to understand why efforts weren’t immediately undertaken to assess the situation and to remedy it. It’s impossible to understand why the rip cord wasn’t pulled until six days before the game. The explanation could be simple. Whoever was in charge of the game (Mark Waller oversees the league’s international operation) possibly knew what was coming and opted to delay the inevitable awkward meeting with Commissioner Roger Goodell, who undoubtedly blew his stack when he’d found out that the league had blown its now-annual Mexican excursion. Then again Johnny Hekker Jersey , there’s a chance the NFL had an inkling that things could go sideways this year. Why else would the Rams and Chiefs have a bye over Thanksgiving, a weekend during which the playing of three games on Thursday will leave only 10 in the early- and late-afternoon broadcast windows? Maybe the league gave the Rams and Chiefs a post-Mexico bye to account for the possibility that the decision to not play in Mexico would come at a time when it was too late to reschedule it in L.A. for the same day, forcing the game to be played in L.A. the following Sunday or Monday. Rams running back Todd Gurley‘s streak of games with at least one touchdown ended at 13 games when the Chiefs kept him out of the end zone in Monday night’s 54-51 Rams win.Gurley played a more limited role in the Rams offense than usual as his 12 carries were the lowest of the season. Gurley made no mention of being injured after the game, although it was discussed on social media and head coach Sean McVay admitted his workhorse back wasn’t 100 percent.McVay said Lamarcus Joyner Color Rush Jersey , via Greg Beachem of the Associated Press, that Gurley “got rolled up on on the far sideline” and hurt his ankle during the game.McVay added that Gurley will be fine. The Rams have a bye in Week 12 before returning to action against the Lions on December 2.Gurley became the first player to pass 1,000 rushing yards during Monday night’s game. He also leads the league in rushing attempts and rushing touchdowns.
If you are visiting on Apple News Montee Ball Color Rush Jersey , please click here to watch the video. The New England Patriots have not seen a Super Bowl halftime show since February 2016, so all some of their players know is rewinds or stories. This time around will be more of the same: the team will be in the locker room halfway through its game against the Los Angeles Rams while Maroon 5 and their guests will be entertaining audiences at Mercedes-Benz Stadium and in front of television sets across the globe. With that in mind, we asked some of the Patriots’ players to share their choices on who would be their halftime act if they could book any artist they want dead or alive. Migos, themselves hailing from Georgia https://www.patriotsfanstore.com/Malcom-Brown-Jersey , were a popular pick as was fellow rapper J. Cole. Others named included country musician Shooter Jennings, rapper Gucci Mane, and Beyonc茅.And now that you know the Patriots’ answers, who would you pick to perform the Super Bowl halftime show if you could choose any artist you’d like? The reigning world champions keep losing assistant coaches: as was reported earlier today by the Boston Globe’s Jim McBride Shaq Mason Color Rush Jersey , New England Patriots defensive line coach Brendan Daly will leave the club to join the Kansas City Chiefs. According to the report, Daly will assume a similar role with the club that finished second in the AFC after being defeated at home by the Patriots in the conference title game.Daly originally joined New England as a defensive assistant in 2014 before being promoted to coach the line one year later. He held the role ever since and was instrumental in turning the Patriots into one of the NFL’s best pass rushing teams over the course of the 2018 season: Daly helped develop the likes of Trey Flowers, Malcom Brown, Deatrich Wise Jr. and Adam Butler into a solid group of linemen alongside more seasoned players like Lawrence Guy.With him now joining the Chiefs LaAdrian Waddle Jersey , the Patriots will need to replace another coach: the 43-year old is the third defensive coach and fifth overall to leave the club over the last week. Linebackers coach and de facto defensive coordinator Brian Flores has accepted the head coaching position with the Miami Dolphins, while cornerbacks coach Josh Boyer as well as wide receivers coach Chad O’Shea and assistant quarterbacks coach Jerry Schupliski will join him.As a result, Steve Belichick is the only defensive assistant coach returning in 2019. While a defensive coordinator is reportedly already found in Greg Schiano, the other positions will still need to be filled — either by defensive assistants Mike Pellegrino or Brian Belichick James Develin Color Rush Jersey , or by external hires tied to Schiano. Needless to say, however, that Daly leaving is another obstacle the team will need to overcome as it tries to defend its title.
The Chargers are headed to the postseason! While the franchise might be out of the race for the AFC West division Brandon Mebane Color Rush Jersey , the Bolts have punched their ticket to a date in January and a chance to head to Atlanta for Super Bowl 53.The Bolts offseason however will be one to keep an eye on. With multiple stars heading towards the free agent market, Tom Telesco and his staff will have to do a good job making the draft and free agent market a memorable one. One way the Chargers can start their homework is by watching the bowl games heading into the holidays.Week 3 of Bowlmania is about to begin and Week’s 1 and 2 did not disappoint. With more players looking to make their NFL mark, Jake Hefner comes out strong to help with another addition of Blooming Bolts. This time is a bit different than last. With more teams playing this week, we don’t want you reading and missing out on prospects that could help turn Los Angeles into a power-house moving forward. Instead of doing all of Week 3, this article will just feature games on December 26th and 27th. We will have the next slew of games out Friday morning for all of you to enjoy. Hopefully theses prospects make the final cut of the Chargers’ big board.First Responder BowlBoise State: QB Brett RypienWhen will the succession plan begin for life after Philip Rivers? The Chargers have not drafted a quarterback since they selected Brad Sorensen in the 7th round back in 2013. Boise State QB Brett Rypien is a sleeper prospect with interesting potential. As a 50 game starter for the Broncos, Rypien completed 1,035 passes for 13,578 yards and 90 touchdowns. At 6-foot-2, 202 pounds, Rypien is a traditional “pocket” quarterback displaying good mechanics and nice touch on his throws. He does, however, have a tendency to stare down his receivers and take unnecessary sacks. But when he has time, Rypien is capable of driving the ball down the field with good accuracy. The young quarterback will have an additional opportunity to elevate his draft stock at the East West Shrine Game in the coming weeks.Boston College: DL Zach Allen The Chargers will need to address their pass rush a tad on the outside this season. While Joey Bosa and Melvin Ingram are cornerstone pieces, adding depth could allow the franchise to worry less about another position group if they feel the draft class and free agent pool is weak. Allen’s final season for the Eagles is one he’ll remember for quite some time. With 15 tackles for losses and a career high 6.5 sacks, Allen does a great job maneuvering past offensive linemen and working towards the quarterback. Best at a five technique, the 6-5’ defender can play outside or kick in on heavy pass rush packages. With great work ethic and a non-stop motor Michael Schofield Color Rush Jersey , Allen would be a nice day 2 selection to add to the Chargers front line. Quick Lane BowlGeorgia Tech: Edge Anree Saint-AmourSaint-Amour is an interesting prospect that plays with a physical style and a consistent motor. His breakout year with the Yellow Jackets came this season as Saint-Amour posted 45 tackles, eleven for loss and 4.5 sacks. Possessing decent size (6’3, 245lbs) and length, Saint-Amour is still very Raw in his skill set. When evaluating Saint-Amour’s game, the biggest question will be in regards to position fit. He doesn’t have the speed to play as an OLB but is also too light to produce as a defensive end in the NFL. Saint-Amour will gain favor with teams for his attitude and physical traits, but projects as a rookie free agent.Minnesota: DE Carter Coughlin The Chargers should fix their defensive line in the draft both early and late. Having a pass rush makes a good defense great and allows a team to not have to fix every other need in a single draft. Bosa and Ingram are great but their unit behind him has been lackluster this season. Coughlin might not declare but if he does, he’s the best player on the Minnesota roster. An excellent pass rusher, Coughlin has finished the past two season with double-digit tackle for losses season and is just half a sack away from finishing with 10 takedowns on the year. Excellent on the outside, the junior defender swipes his opponent away and quickly drags opponents down behind the line of scrimmage. While he’s very raw, Coughlin would be a nice day-2 pickup if the free agent pool works out in the Chargers’ favor. Cheez-It BowlTCU: Edge Ben BanoguBanogu has been a huge contributor since joining the Horned Frogs defense in 2017. Over the past two seasons, Banogu has recorded 107 total tackles, 33.5 for loss and 16 sacks. At 6-foot-4 and 250 pounds, Banogu is versatile enough to rush the passer from multiple positions along the defensive line. He plays physical off of the edge with good athleticism and the speed to chase down runners. Banogu uses his length well on the rush when shedding blocks from offensive lineman. He is not the most polished pass rusher and will need to add a broader arsenal to his hand movement techniques. Banogu will need to display some refinement during draft evaluations and will have to test well to determine what position he is best suited for at the next level. Whether its as a defensive end or an outside linebacker, Banogu projects as a mid-round pick.California: LB Alex Funches The Bolts’ linebacker room is in need of an overhaul after the season. Denzel Perryman is likely heading to free agency while Jatavis Brown might be the only solid starting option after coming around mid-year. While Kyzir White was a solid WILL backer during his playing time, injuries could ruin a young player’s career. The Golden Bears have little to no draft eligible players worth selecting in this upcoming draft season but if there’s one to look at on day-3, Funches would be the selection. The senior linebacker has started for two seasons and collected 69 total tackles during his time. Best used as a SAM backer Tyrell Williams Color Rush Jersey , Funches attacks the line of scrimmage and is thriving when stopping the run. A gap stopper, the Golden Bear could be a nice special teams player while learning Gus Bradley’s defense. Independence BowlTemple: CB Rock Ya-SinA transfer from Presbyterian College, Ya-Sin’s production has created plenty of buzz among NFL scouts. In 2018, he made 47 tackles, 12 passes defended, and two interceptions. While those stats may not sound earth shattering, Ya-Sin only allowed just over half of the completions that were thrown in his direction. He finished with the second-highest overall grade among cornerbacks according to Pro Football Focus. At 6’2, 190 pounds, Ya-Sin is able to contend with bigger receivers. He displays good ball skills and plays with an attitude. As one of the best defensive prospects for the Owls, Ya-Sin has a great opportunity to be a high-upside mid-round selection. The Chargers cornerbacks have regressed as a unit since last season and the team should be in the market for another addition in the draft.Duke: QB Daniel Jones If Philip Rivers is going to continue to play for Los Angeles, Tom Telesco should consider at least trying to find a better Garrett Grayson. Grayson fizzled out during his time in New Orleans but the Saints were willing to use a mid-round selection to see what their future could potentially hold. If Jones falls to the late second round, he should be in play for the future. Perhaps the most River-esque quarterback in the draft, Jones has been one, if not the only, reason the Blue Devils even made a bowl game this season. At 6’5, Jones fits the mold of what many call the “prototypical quarterback” Derek Watt Color Rush Jersey , but he also has the arm strength and mobility to take matters into his own hands by running on busted plays. While his accuracy will need some work, as will his decision-making, Jones is possibly the most gritty quarterback in the class. Pinstripe Bowl Wisconsin: OT David Edwards This is an easy grade. The Chargers are moving forward with Rivers and will need to protect him the best they can. While their interior is a bigger problem, Sam Tevi could shift back inside and take over at offensive guard should the Bolts want to address their right tackle needs. With the release of Joe Barksdale, Los Angeles should really consider drafting an offensive tackle with their first pick come April. A key blocker up front for starting running back Jonathan Taylor, the former quarterback turned right tackle has great speed, a long frame to extend his body in blocks and will be aggressive in the trenches. While still in need for better footwork in pass protection, Edwards has the size and speed to reach second level defenders as a lead blocker in the run game. If defensive line and secondary options are out, Edwards should be on Telesco’s short list.Texas Bowl Vanderbilt: CB Joejuan WilliamsWilliams will be an intriguing prospect to monitor over the next few months. Standing 6-foot-4 and 210 pounds, Williams is one of the biggest defensive prospects in this upcoming draft. Announcing that he will be forgoing his senior season back in November, Williams finishes his tenure with the Commodores registering 114 total tackles, four interceptions and 22 passes defended. Physical and athletic, he muscles receivers off their routes to contend throws. He shows his best work as a press corner, displaying good ball skills and is very good in run support. His tackling ability, while decent, needs to be refined as Williams will occasionally go too high when he attempts to wrap up receivers. His down field speed will be a focal point during draft evaluations as he is not a burner and not too fast off of the snap. Williams projects more as a developmental prospect but with time Travis Benjamin Color Rush Jersey , his size, length and physicality could allow him to grow into a starter.Baylor: WR Jalen Hurd The Bolts wide receiver room could be willing to add another face this offseason depending on corresponding moves. Tyrell Williams will be wanting a lucrative contract and Los Angeles hasn’t been known in the past to pay their pass catchers. Travis Benjamin had one good game but still has had a horrendous season. Outside of Mike Williams and Keenan Allen, no one is really safe. Hurd fits the exact mold that could replace Williams as a late round selection. At 6’4 and great speed, Hurd has natural hands from his time as a do-it-all running back for Tennessee. A YAC-machine, the former Vols star averaged 13.7 yards per catch and did a great job working through traffic to collect first downs for the Bears offense. While he’s questionable to play against Vanderbilt, if he does, his red zone capability is going to be a difference-maker for Baylor. A sixth-round pick is worth it for the Bolts offense. After another wonderful win against the Bengals, the Chargers are gearing up for what looks to be their most important and pivotal game of the regular season. While most Chargers faithful had this date circled on the calendar before the season began, it has been incredible to see the Chargers continue to catch up to the Chiefs after a really tough starting slate in 2018.There are a number of very important items on the line for this Thursday’s game: Not only the fate of the AFC West (the Chiefs would still have to lose another game, but a win this week would seal it for them). On the brighter side, the Chargers also have the door open for the #1 seed in the AFC if they win out (and have a few dominoes fall their way). Oh, and one final thing— a win this week clinches a playoff spot for the Bolts. However, both the Chiefs and the Chargers will be hurting at one of their positions of strength this season: Running Back. The Chiefs ditched the baggage of Kareem Hunt, and deservedly so, and that has left a bit of a vacuum that hasn’t filled quite well with Spencer Ware and Damien Williams. They have reason to be optimistic, but RB is not the threat the offense had become used to.And the Chargers have been without Melvin Gordon III Keenan Allen Color Rush Jersey , who was enjoying a breakout year before missing action since November 25 because of a knee injury. In his absense, capable running back Austin Ekeler has been doing double the work he has been used to this year. He took 66 on the ground and 28 through the air—not bad for a $555k salary! However, reports began to storm in that Ekeler suffered a neck ‘stinger’ during the game, and his week 15 presence would be questionable.Neither Gordon nor Ekeler practiced Monday, when more grim reports began to surface. Austin Ekeler entered the concussion protocol on Monday, and that is in addition to his prior woes. It’s pretty clear that things look grim for Ekeler’s availability this week. But what about Gordon, who theoretically is day to day?The fact of the matter is that things don’t look good for a rushing attack on Thursday, but coach Anthony Lynn is a bit too wiley to give Andy Reid too much of a game planning cookie: he is giving some positive indications that Gordon could be back.In any event, Chargers fans should brace for an aerial showdown on Thursday evening, as both teams feature capable signal callers. There is an outside chance that one or both of the Chargers’ featured running backs can make the game, but it would be quite the surprise if they are up to speed by Thursday.-Jason “Run it Anyway” Michaels
"Dead malls" have been a common phenomenon in America for a decade www.thetopsneaker.com/nike-flyknit-men , thanks largely to the twin forces of the Great Recession and the rise of online shopping, in particular Amazon. Now the concept appears to be migrating across the Atlantic to France, where shopping center vacancies have reached 11.2 percent, according to a new report from UBS Group AG analysts Charles Boissier and Osmaan Malik, as reported by Bloomberg.
